In 2024, the City of Pawtucket was awarded a Municipal Resilience Program Action Grant through the Rhode Island Infrastructure Bank to address the frequent stormwater related flooding in your neighborhood. The City of Pawtucket has secured funding to begin planning and design of the Daggett Avenue Green Infrastructure Corridor project. The project is being led by the City of Pawtucket and is working with Fuss & O’Neill, the consulting firm hired for the project. This project relies on nature-based solutions and green infrastructure to enhance existing green spaces, increase tree shade coverage, and increase storage and treatment of stormwater runoff – all of which will result in improved quality of life benefits and improved climate resilience for the local residents. As part of this project, the City wants to engage with the residents of Daggett Avenue to solicit feedback on the designs and create a project that address stormwater concerns and build solutions that best address the daily needs of the residents who live, work, or travel along the area of Daggett Avenue. A neighborhood meeting has been scheduled to provide an overview and status update of the project and answer questions. All project partners will be present, including representatives from the City of Pawtucket and Fuss & O’Neill. The meeting will be held on: April 29th, 2025, 6:00 PM at Flora S. Curtis Elementary School, 582 Benefit Street. A virtual meeting link will be available on the project website and is also provided in the attached flyer.
