City of Pawtucket

The City of Pawtucket Resiliency Task Force (RTF) is intended to support the City’s efforts to plan for, adapt to, and mitigate the impacts of climate change and other long-term environmental, social, and infrastructure-related risks. The RTF is envisioned as an informal, collaborative space for community members who are interested in resilience, climate, and environmental work happening in Pawtucket.

The RTF is intended to:

  1. Elevate community voices in resiliency planning and decision-making;
  2. Provide input and feedback on City-led resiliency plans, policies, and projects;
  3. Help identify community vulnerabilities, priorities, and opportunities related to climate resilience;
  4. Support public awareness and education around resiliency issues;
  5. Foster collaboration between residents, City departments, and external partners.

The Task Force is advisory only and does not make decisions or direct City projects. It is envisioned as a collaborative forum that may grow and become more formal over time, if it proves valuable to both the community and the City.”

“Strong communities are built through collaboration. This Task Force creates a space for residents to bring forward their perspectives and help guide how Pawtucket plans for future challenges. Community input is essential to make smarter, more grounded decisions about the City’s future.” – Kyle M.
