PAWTUCKET – The City of Pawtucket is thrilled to announce “May Movie Month,” a series of free outdoor film screenings every Friday in May at various locations throughout the city. Hosted by “Pawtucket Promotes”, these family-friendly events are open to everyone – Pawtucket residents and nonresidents alike.

Each event will run from 7:00 PM to 10:30 PM, with the movie starting at 8:00 PM. Concessions and food trucks will be on-site with food available for purchase, and the City will provide free popcorn for attendees (while supplies last). Rain dates will be announced at a later date. Please be advised that an adult must accompany all minors.

“We’re thrilled to bring ‘May Movie Month’ to our community and beyond,” said Mayor Donald R. Grebien. “These outdoor screenings offer a wonderful chance for families and friends to come together, enjoy a film under the stars, and experience all that Pawtucket has to offer. We can’t wait to welcome everyone to our city this May.”

Jennifer Kilsey, the City’s Cultural Affairs Program Coordinator, emphasized the inclusive, family-friendly nature of the event, saying, “This is a great way for the whole family to get involved and come enjoy some free entertainment. Whether you live in Pawtucket or are just visiting, these movie nights are a great opportunity to make lasting memories for all ages.”

Sandra Mazo, Deputy Director of Commerce for the City of Pawtucket, spoke about the importance of hosting events that draw visitors to the city, noting, “We believe that community events like ‘May Movie Month’ serve as a magnet for visitors and help showcase Pawtucket’s thriving community.”
