Weekly Recap

This week in Pawtucket was all about celebrating our people. From the creative talents of our students at JMW’s May Arts Night to the powerful vision on display at the Shea 2025 Fashion Show and the Game Design Tournament at New England Tech, it is clear that the next generation of leaders, artists and innovators is already making an impact. Whether it was cheering on the Class of 2025 at Decision Day or awarding scholarships at the Luke Charitable Foundation event, we saw firsthand the pride and promise in our schools and community.

Pawtucket also recognized the power of industry and growth. At the RIMA Annual Breakfast we joined leaders to highlight the strength of our manufacturing sector and its role in building a resilient future. The energy of the RIFC 5v5 tournament and the Chamber Kickoff showed what’s ahead for our city’s economy and spirit as we gear up for Opening Day. And thanks to Chef King and the Shea Culinary students, families across the district felt welcomed and supported at a meaningful community dinner.

We also honored the values that hold us together. Keystone Club members marked Earth Day with a day of service in our parks and schoolyards. The Juneteenth RI Gala reminded us to reflect and push forward together. St. Mary’s Church lifted up 50 senior citizens for their commitment to others. And Healthy Kids Day brought families together to celebrate wellness and growth. These moments reflect who we are as a city proud to lift each other up and keep moving forward.
