Pawtucket Residents:
- Pawtucket is transforming its riverfront into an accessible, welcoming space for residents. Over the next year, improvements will include new pedestrian connections, enhanced sidewalks, ADA-accessible crossings, landscaped plazas, and expanded riverwalk paths with lighting, seating, and boardwalk overlooks. Future plans feature a pedestrian bridge at Tidewater Landing, public plazas, overlooks, and a stormwater park, all designed to enhance community life and protect the river. This effort aims to make the waterfront a central, vibrant part of Pawtucket for everyone to enjoy.
- The Pawtucket Police Department is once again hosting its Kind Hearts Campaign ahead of Valentine’s Day, inviting residents to make or sign cards for local seniors. Cards will be delivered to the Senior Center and senior housing units throughout the city, where they are always warmly received. Donations are being collected at Police Headquarters through February 11, demonstrating the impact of community kindness.

- Announcement of Request for Funding Proposals
- The City of Pawtucket, RI, is planning to hold a public meeting to review accomplishments found on the 2021-2022, 2022-2023, and 2023-2024 Consolidated Annual Performance Evaluation Reports (CAPERs), and an explanation of this year’s funding application process for the CDBG, HOME, and ESG programs.
