City of Pawtucket

Weekly Recap

Pawtucket Residents:

  • Thank you to everyone who joined us at City Hall-O-Ween! It was a joy to see our community come together for a night of fun and smiles. The event also kicked off our citywide food drive to support residents affected by EBT SNAP changes. Donations of dry goods and non-perishable items can be dropped off at City Hall, Fogarty Manor, or any Pawtucket Public School. The City has also launched an Emergency SNAP Support Line at 401-728-0500 ext. 278 to help those in need.
  • Pawtucket is now part of the AARP Network of Age-Friendly Communities, and we want to hear from residents aged 45+ and their caregivers. Take our short survey to help shape programs and services that support older adults in our city. Let your voice be heard and help make Pawtucket a great place to age well!
  • The City of Pawtucket has released its first-ever Strategic Tree Canopy Plan, created with the Green Infrastructure Center through a USDA Forestry Grant. The plan aims to maintain the city’s 21% tree canopy by expanding the Free Tree Program, completing a citywide inventory, and promoting community engagement. These efforts will help reduce flooding, improve air quality, and create a greener, healthier Pawtucket.
