Weekly Recap
Pawtucket Residents:
- The Mayor’s Community Board invites residents to take the 2025 Residents Survey to share feedback and ideas that help shape Pawtucket’s future. Your input guides city decisions and strengthens our community!
- Pawtucket is now part of the AARP Network of Age-Friendly Communities, and we want to hear from residents aged 45+ and their caregivers. Take our short survey to help shape programs and services that support older adults in our city. Let your voice be heard and help make Pawtucket a great place to age well!
- Pawtucket received a Historic Preservation Project Award at the 2025 Rhody Awards for restoring Fire Station 1 on West Avenue. As we celebrate this achievement, we also look ahead—thanks to strong partnerships and a shared focus on infrastructure, housing, and transportation that keep our city moving forward.
- The VFW invites high schoolers to enter the Voice of Democracy contest for a chance to win up to $35,000, and middle schoolers to join the Patriot’s Pen essay contest for $5,000. Submit entries to VFW Post 306 by October 31 for a chance to win!
- The Pawtucket Commission on Arts & Culture and United Cerebral Palsy of RI are partnering to showcase artwork from the Adaptive Arts Program, which empowers individuals with disabilities through creative expression. Join us for a Gallery Reception on Thursday, November 6, from 4:30–6:30 PM at Pawtucket City Hall, second floor.
