Weekly Recap
This week in Pawtucket was all about community. It exemplified lifting each other up, celebrating our achievements, and coming together to make a difference. We started by engaging with an important issue at the 2025 Statewide CODE Summit, where leaders from across Rhode Island joined forces to find solutions to the overdose crisis. Pawtucket remains committed to creating a safer and healthier city for all, and we are grateful for the chance to collaborate on this critical work.
Our community also came together in some truly heartwarming ways. Officers from the Pawtucket Police Department spread kindness through the Kind Hearted initiative by delivering treats, flowers, and handmade Valentine’s Day cards to seniors in the city. Their generosity brought joy to so many faces. City Hall also had a sweet visit from Girl Scout Troop 306, who stopped by to sell cookies and brighten everyone’s day.
We also had plenty of reasons to celebrate. A big congratulations to our newest Pawtucket firefighter and those who earned well-deserved promotions. Their dedication and service keep our community safe every day. The students of Shea High School’s Raiderbots and Bucketbots teams also made us proud with their impressive performance at the Rhode Island FTC Robotics Championship. Their hard work and innovation continue to inspire us all. From acts of kindness to major accomplishments, this week was another reminder of what makes our city great.
