City of Pawtucket Announces Changes to Trash/Recycling Collection and Transfer Station Hours Due to Holiday
PAWTUCKET – The City of Pawtucket reminds residents that trash and recycling collection will be delayed by one day due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Residents are asked to place their bins out one day later than their usual schedule.
In addition, the Pawtucket Transfer Station will be closed on Thursday, November 28, and Friday, November 29, 2024, in observance of the holiday. The Transfer Station will reopen during normal hours on Saturday, November 30, from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Regular operating hours will resume on Monday, December 2, 2024.
Residents are also reminded that the City’s Leaf and Yard Waste Collection Program will end on Friday, December 13, 2024. After this date, residents may dispose of leaf and yard waste at the Transfer Station, adhering to the following guidelines:
- Paper Yard Waste Bags: Maximum of three (3)
- Barrels: Maximum of three (3) 32-gallon barrels
- Bundles: Maximum of three (3) bundles (no longer than 3 feet, 12 inches in diameter, and no branches larger than 3 inches in diameter).
Please note that no exceptions will be made to these requirements.
