Pawtucket Residents – Mayor’s Message: Residents are invited to attend the 2026 Rhode Island Arbor Day Celebration on Friday, April 24 at Slater Memorial Park’s Kenny Tennis Court Complex. The event will bring together state leaders, environmental organizations, students, and community members to highlight the importance of urban forests in building a healthier community. The program will feature guest speakers, Tree City USA Award presentations, and musical performances by local students. Volunteers will also plant tulip, cherry, and elm saplings to help preserve and enhance the park’s natural beauty. All are encouraged to attend and take part in this meaningful day of environmental stewardship.
