Celebrating Older Americans Month

Each May, the nation celebrates Older Americans Month, led by the U.S. Administration for Community Living. For over 60 years, this annual observance has honored the contributions of older adults, highlighted aging trends, and reinforced the importance of supporting people as they age with dignity, purpose, and joy.

This year’s theme, “Flip the Script on Aging,” encourages a fresh, empowering view of growing older. It challenges ageist stereotypes and celebrates older adults as vibrant, engaged, and essential members of our community.

Here at the Senior Center, we’re embracing this theme all month long with a variety of special events and activities that reflect the strength, spirit, and resilience of older adults in our community.

We invite you to stop by, join the celebration, and see how we’re flipping the script on aging—together.
