Judge Jack T. Gannon
Judge Jack T. Gannon graduated Magna Cum Laude from Northeastern University, Boston Ma. in 1981 with a BS in Criminal Justice. In 1985 Judge Gannon received his Juris Doctor from the Franklin Pierce Law Center, Concord New Hampshire. He,has been an active member of the Rhode Island Bar Association since 1986 and the Massachusetts Bar Association since 2006.
With the exception college and law school, Judge Gannon has lived in Pawtucket his entire life. He is a founding partner of the law firm Mccorry and Gannon PC. In 1992 he was appointed by Mayor Robert E. Metivier as the Pawtucket City Solicitor and served until 1998. From 2004-2010 he was appointed the Central Falls City Solicitor. In 2011 Judge Gannon served as the Director of Administration for the City of Pawtucket.
On February 6, 2013, he was appointed the Associate Municipal Court Judge in Pawtucket and on February 21, 2024 he was appointed as the Courts Chief Judge. Prior to this appointment he served as the Acting Probate Judge for both the city of Pawtucket and Central Falls.
In addition to managing his law firm, and serving as a Justice for Pawtucket, Judge Gannon has served as Legal Counsel for the East Providence Personnel Board, the Rhode Island House of Representatives Labor Committee, the Pawtucket, Central Falls and Cumberland Zoning Boards and acting Probate Judge for both the city of Pawtucket and Central Falls.
Judge Gannon is a member of the Massachusetts Real Estate Bar Association, the New England Land Title Association and the American Land Title Association. Additionally, he served as Chairman of for the Blackstone Valley Community Health Center and is presently and active board member. He is also a recipient of the RI Bar Associations Pro Bono Publico Award and the Ernie Marot Humanitarian Award.
Judge Patrick J. McBurney
Judge Patrick J. McBurney earned his Juris Doctorate from St. John’s University School of Law, Queens, New York. Prior to that, he graduated magna cum /aude from St. John’s University. After graduating law school, he served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Associate Justice Maureen McKenna Goldberg of the Rhode Island Supreme Court and for the Honorable Associate Justice Michael Silverstein of the Rhode Island Superior Court.
After his time clerking, Judge McBurney joined the firm of Pannone Lopes Devereaux & O’Gara LLC, and in 2022 he was named a Partner at the firm. He has been admitted to practice law in the State of Rhode Island since 2013 and in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts since 2014. He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Districts of Rhode Island and Massachusetts, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. In addition, he has appeared before numerous zoning and planning boards in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
Judge McBurney was appointed the Associate Municipal Court Judge by the Pawtucket City Council in February 2024. Prior to his appointment to the bench, Judge McBurney served on the City’s Riverfront Commission. He is an active member of the Rhode Island Bar Association and Pawtucket Bar Association.
