City of Pawtucket

Weekly Recap

Pawtucket Residents:

  • The City Council has approved the final agreement for a new 72-unit affordable housing development at 177 School Street, allowing the project to move forward. All units will serve residents earning between 30% and 80% of the area median income, supporting working families, seniors, and individuals with access to below-market rents. The development adds to the momentum around the stadium and Tidewater Landing area and is part of a broader effort that has delivered 2,000 new housing units in the past decade, with 1,200 more in progress. City leaders emphasize that expanding affordable housing remains central to Pawtucket’s continued growth and stability.
