Pawtucket Residents:
- As excitement builds for the Summer of Soccer and World Cup 2026, the City invites residents to a special meet and greet with Cape Verdean sports leaders on Saturday, December 6 at 5:00 PM at the Cape Verdean American Community Development center (120 High Street). Their visit aligns with their U.S. trip ahead of the World Cup Draw, and with Pawtucket’s strong, longstanding ties to the Cape Verdean community, the City is honored to be included in their itinerary. We hope you can join us!
- The City of Pawtucket invites residents to celebrate the season with a series of festive, family-friendly events, including Illuminating the Holidays on Saturday, December 6 at the Blackstone Valley Visitor’s Center, the Annual Hanukkah Celebration on Monday, December 15 in partnership with the Jewish Alliance of Greater Rhode Island, and A Very Pawtucket City Hall-iday on Thursday, December 18 at City Hall featuring caroling, hot cocoa, Santa, and more. Flyers with additional details are included below—we hope you’ll join us for these wonderful holiday traditions!
- The City of Pawtucket has added a new Get Involved section to the Mayor’s Weekly Newsletter, featuring links to current job opportunities and openings on city Boards and Commissions. Residents are encouraged to explore these opportunities and take part in shaping their community.
Those interested in serving on a Board or Commission can apply by emailing their resume to [email protected]. - RIDOT is inviting Rhode Islanders to complete a brief survey on train travel to help improve service, accessibility, and future public transportation planning. Community members can find more details and access the survey through the flyer below.
- Pawtucket has officially joined the AARP Network of Age-Friendly States and Communities, working to ensure the needs of older residents are met. The city invites residents and caregivers aged 45+ to share their input through a survey to help improve quality of life. Learn more and access the survey via the link or QR code provided.
