City of Pawtucket Announces Upcoming Bulky Waste Drop-Off Days for Residents
Pawtucket, RI – The City of Pawtucket is pleased to announce two upcoming Bulky Waste Drop-Off Days for residents. These events offer an affordable and convenient way to dispose of large household items, with waived select fees.
1st Bulky Waste Day:

Date: Saturday, November 2nd

Location: Transfer Station – 240 Grotto Avenue, Pawtucke

Time: 8:00 am – 12:00 pm
2nd Bulky Waste Day:

Date: Saturday, November 16th
- Location: Department of Public Works – 250 Armistice Blvd, Pawtucket

Time: 8:00 am – 12:00 pm
During both drop-off events, fees on the following items will be waived:
- Household Trash (MSW): Pick-up, van, or SUV – for up to 3 bags (50 gallons). Loose trash or barrels will not be accepted.
Limit one drop-off per day.

Large Furniture Items: Desks, bureaus, dressers, living room chairs, recliners, end tables, and entertainment centers.

Couches and Tables: Love seats, couches (including sectional up to 3 pieces), kitchen tables, and up to 6 chairs.

Sleeper Sofas/Chairs: Sleeper sofas, couches, and chairs.

Rugs: Rugs must be rolled and tied (maximum length 6 feet), with a limit of 3 rolls.

Bathroom Items: Bathroom vanities, sinks, and medicine cabinets; toilets (limit 2 toilets).
“These Bulky Waste Drop-Off Days are a great opportunity for residents to dispose of large items at reduced costs,” said Mayor Donald R. Grebien. “We are committed to keeping Pawtucket clean and making it easier for residents to take care of their waste disposal needs. I encourage everyone to take advantage of these events.”
“This is part of our ongoing effort to provide accessible and efficient waste management options for residents,” added Chris Crawley, Director of Public Works. “We look forward to seeing the community participate and helping them responsibly get rid of items they no longer need.”
