Programs in the City of Pawtucket

Tourism & Industry Cluster (TIC) fund to support destination recreational establishments to help drive marketing the city and its small businesses
Small Business Support grants – flexible and generous for those with proven revenue losses due to Covid of up to $20,000 each…. 50+ grants issued to date
Community Impact & Education (CIEG) grants for non-profits who offer added curriculum based programs that address Covid impacts, for $50,000-$300,000 depending on size of organization and scope of program being offered
Technical Assistance grants to professional organizations to assist with applications, program writing, budgets, construction oversight, given to 2 organizations on an applicant based award level
Building Improvement Program (BIP) grants are offered to QCT property owners in the core commercial sectors of the city to fix up their properties to provide a public facing improvements, storefronts, etc to make the city more appealing, again to drive the market of the city in support of small business
Youth Sports Revitalization grant to go to youth athletic organizations and the schools to address the shut down of so many athletic programs during Covid
Communications grant for free wifi and hot spots.  The hot spots will provide free wifi and be tied to informational kiosks at critical locations in the city, where people gather, downtown, train station and riverfront.
Downtown Strategies, a grant to provide information on marketing, branding and promoting the downtown.  The results of this effort have not yet been shared or incorporated into the city’s departments, and as soon as it is, the first action item is to communicate ideas and findings to downtown stakeholders.
