Weekly Recap
Dear Pawtucket Residents,
Join us on June 23rd from 5:30–7:30 PM as we celebrate the legacy of McCoy Stadium and the PawSox with the Pawtucket School Department, former players, and fans. We’ll mark the 44th anniversary of the longest professional baseball game and unveil two time capsules discovered during the stadium’s demolition—honoring the memories that make McCoy a cherished part of Pawtucket’s history.
This week the City of Pawtucket celebrated the Class of 2025 from Shea and Tolman High Schools with joyful graduation ceremonies, honoring students’ achievements and the support of families, educators, and community partners. This spring, students from the Jacqueline M. Walsh School for the Performing & Visual Arts (JMW) teamed up with the Department of Public Works (DPW) to transform rain barrels into vibrant works of art. These barrels help reduce runoff, limit pollution in local waterways, ease stress on the city’s drainage system, and save residents money on water bills. All barrels have been distributed, but our free rain barrel program will return—applications open January 1, 2026.
