As winter weather approaches, the City of Pawtucket wants to ensure all residents are informed about snow and ice procedures. Please review the important details below to stay prepared and avoid fines during snow emergencies.

Please pay careful attention to the “Parking Ban” section. It is CRUCIAL that cars are moved into city lots, and then removed from city lots, in a timely manner.

If cars are left on the street during a ban, this delays the Department of Public Works in their snow removal process, meaning it will take longer for our streets to be cleaned.

On the opposite end of the parking ban, it is crucial that cars are removed within the two-hour period after lifting the parking ban. Most designated lots are school parking lots. If residents do not remove their cars in a timely fashion, it can delay school re-openings.
